I have not read any of this series and I am glad to say that I now have read a book from this series. This book was so good, all the characters are well written and developed. Each book can be read as a stand alone and one would not be missing much. This book deals with an island that seems to be dying off as people move away. There are some who have moved back and are trying to rebuild it and keep everything as it was when it was first built. If you are looking for a new series to try I urge you to give this one a try. I was gifted this book for a fair and honest review.
