This is my first time reading something by this author, but it will not be my last. This was such a great romantic, second chance romance. This was a lighthearted easy read.
Sophia has know Dominic for a majority of her life. Finally in high school, he saw her differently and they started to date. She goes away to college and the long distance relationship didn’t work out for them. He broke her heart. Years later he shows up to win her back. Sophia and Dominic are great leading characters. The supporting characters added a bunch of laughs to the book, as well. The concept of the contest that took place during the book was great. It gave me some of the many laughs I had while reading this book.
The main reasons I was not able to give this a five star rating is there were many things, this reader found too predictable and a few things on the timeline were off to me. I wish I was able to have given this a five star read because it was difficult to put this book down. I’m hoping some of the fun supporting characters do get their own books and I look forward to reading more from this author, who made me laugh.
Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.
Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.
In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.
Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.
