This is the first book I have read by this author, but it will not be my last. For a good portion of the book, the author did a great job keeping me guessing as to what the reasons were that Emma Jane walked out on Knox on their wedding day. It was great guessing why. I found it hard putting this book down until the very last page. This was a light read with many moments of laughter.
Right from the start you are pulled in, from Emma Jane’s meeting her new BFF Becket to her finding out who her new boss is. It has been eight years since that almost wedding day and Knox is back in Emma Jane’s life and he wants her back. She has built her life these past eight years and hasn’t looked back.
The cast of supporting characters were great and added to the twists and development of the plot. What I’m disappointed in is the ending, to me it felt like the ending was somewhat rushed and that things were wrapped up quicker than the rest of the story. I’m hoping that in Becket’s book there will be more and I am looking forward to reading his book.
RC Boldt enjoys long walks on the beach, running, reading, people watching, and singing karaoke. If you’re in the mood for some killer homemade mojitos, can’t recall the lyrics to a particular 80’s song, or just need to hang around a nonconformist who will do almost anything for a laugh, she’s your girl.
